About Ron:

Ron Doyle was raised in Broomfield, Colorado before moving with his family to Alamosa, Colorado at age fourteen. He graduated from Alamosa High School in 2003 and Adams State College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Art's degree in History. After nine years, Ron moved home to Broomfield to be closer to family and attend graduate school at the University of Colorado Denver. He graduated in 2010, developing a Master's Capstone Project evaluating educational and community civic participation. While in graduate school, Ron was accepted into the school's Best and Brightest Internship program working for the Town of Milliken, Colorado. Here, he directly supported the Town Administrator in varying departmental capacities and learned municipal public policy processes. In addition to Milliken, Ron was hired by Denver 2008, a non-profit, to assist the City of Denver's planning for the Democratic National Convention.

Post-Graduate School, Milliken and Denver 2008; Ron consulted with the Town to design and develop their website with IGov Sites from Orem, Utah. In the fall of 2010, his career path aligned with the oil and gas industry, performing administrative, broker, and technological functions as a Landman and IT Development Manager for John L. Hunt, CPL & Associates. In addition to land work, Ron has progressively developed a business plan and a company with his good friend, Jesse Russell for Junior Road Online Resources. This company will offer online marketing resources and is set to publish a website in the near future.

In March of 2007, Ron launched this site as an Adams State student in a Library Sciences course looking to offer graduate programs and employers easier access to his credentials and the opportunity to get to know him prior to application processing and interviews. Since, the site has moved from Adams State's server to a private one and is a continued record of Ron's background and goals for future opportunities.

Ron's background is in management, administration, public policy, land work, (legal) research, and technology. Trusted with a high level of responsibility by supervisors and management, he has demonstrated proficiency with several programs in website and graphic design, land (research), and commonly utilized Microsoft programs. Other areas of experience include: grant research and writing, library research (as filed by the Library of Congress), finance, historic structure and preservation. Ron also has strong knowledge of: the United States Geological Survey and Rectangular Coordinate System, local government, Colorado, the United States, Public Policy (in Civics), the State of Colorado Board of Land Commissioner's public lands and minerals, and the BLM. He also has experience writing and editing materials utilizing different citation methods to include: the American Psychological Association (APA), Chicago-Manuscript, and the Modern Language Association (MLA). Personal Interests:

During spare time, Ron is often with family and friends watching/playing sports or committing to outdoor activities. He enjoys camping, hiking (fourteeners), skiing, fishing and skydiving among other activities. His favorite indoor activity is playing Chess. He enjoys reading biographies, economics, history, government, and a good mystery from time-to-time. Items of interest and common discussion include: civics, education, emergency management, the energy industry, land use, literature, music, (municipal) government, non-profit management, public policy, societal efficiencies, technology, and website/graphic design. Ron enjoys listening to classic rock, blues and oldies, with specific interest in the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Fleetwood Mac, the Doors, Simon & Garfunkel and Bob Dylan.

Most of Ron's daily reading is online at numerous sources providing news, politics and sports. However, specific material he has enjoyed in the past include; Peter Schwartz' The Art of Longview, Arnold Toynbee's A Study of History Volume I, Daniel Kemmis' Community and the Politics of Place, Donald S. Frazier's Blood & Treasure, Christopher Collier and James Lincoln Collier's Decision of Philadelphia: The Constitutional Convention of 1787, Jim Collins' Good to Great, Michael Shaara's The Killer Angels and Octavio Paz' The Labyrinth of Solitude. Through educational, personal and professional reading and writing, Ron approaches all situations carefully; examining processes, perspectives and problems before recognizing a potential conclusion or solution.
